Leeds United great Howard Wilkinson has revealed how Marcel Bielsa “intrigues” him.
Bielsa, who has been in charge of the Whites since the summer of 2018, quickly established himself as a hero among the club’s supporters with his unorthodox management style.
And under the Argentine, the Elland Road club have gone from strength to strength, and after missing out on promotion last season, the Whites are well positioned again this season to secure a return to the Premier League.
“He intrigues me,” Wilkinson replied when asked by Jim White on talkSPORT about the Leeds boss.
“At the end of the day what matters is how do the players react, and from what I hear the players react well to him.
“Players have changed; it used to be that they were footballers, and now we recognise football is what they do, it is not who they are.
“It seems to me he is concerned with who they are as well as what they do.”
