'He hates Fornals!' - West Ham fans fuming over David Moyes' decision vs Brighton & Hove Albion

It's fair to say that David Moyes' team selection for this afternoon's game against Brighton & Hove Albion hasn't exactly gone down well with West Ham fans.

The Scotsman has made three changes to his side following Wednesday's 2-0 defeat against Liverpool, but it is the omission of one player that has got supporters talking.

Despite Moyes deciding to drop Manuel Lazini down to the bench given his poor form, he has once again elected against starting Pablo Fornals.

The summer signing has had to make do with a place on the bench in recent weeks and he is again amongst the substitutes for the game against the Seagulls.

Given that Lanzini is far from his best at present, a lot of supporters wanted Moyes to give the ex-Villarreal man a shot in the starting XI but they will have to wait patiently for his chance to come.

The manager's three changes see Ryan Fredericks and Michail Antonio come back into the team, with January signing Tomas Soucek handed his first start for the club following his move from Slavia Prague.

Here's what the West Ham fans have had to say about the team selection on Twitter:

Speaking to the media at his pre-match press conference, the manager has claimed that the home fans will play a big part in the game as they look to collect all three points.

"I’m hoping that Saturday gives us a great opportunity to pick up three points," he said. "It won’t be easy, but we have to try and take every opportunity we get, especially at home at London Stadium, where we could really do with a really good backing from the crowd to help us and give the players a big lift as well.

"They’re so important. They are at all clubs, but I think at a club like West Ham, more so. The supporter fanbase is really important. At the moment, we need you."
