CCTV footage which appears to show a firefighter who went missing before Christmas has been released by police.
The video shows a man who is thought to be missing person Anthony Knott walking along White Hill in Lewes, East Sussex, where he was last seen on Friday 20 December.
Mr Knott, who is a 33-year-old father-of-four from Kent, had been out with friends at The Lamb pub on Fisher Street, Lewes, on the night he disappeared.
Sussex Police has said he left the pub at about 7.16pm for unknown reasons.
He was captured on CCTV walking along White Hill, opposite a pub called the Elephant and Castle, at 7.19pm and again walking up Market Street at 7.41pm.
The second sighting came 20 minutes after his phone was apparently switched off, according to the time captured on the CCTV image.
“Anthony has a distinctive walk and we believe in releasing this footage more people may come forward with information,” Chief Inspector Sarah Godley said.
“We are appealing for anyone in this CCTV footage to make contact with us so we can confirm whether this is Anthony.”
Ms Godley added that extensive searches are being carried out in the local area, supported by local officers, drones, a dog unit and other emergency services.
Sussex Police has also extended its search of the River Ouse north towards the nearby civil parish of Hamsey.
Mr Knott, who works for London Fire Brigade, has been described as an approximately 6ft tall white man of medium build, with medium-brown, short gelled hair, and is said to have a distinctive walk with a slight bounce.
He was last seen wearing a black long-sleeved top, a dark denim suit-style jacket, dark denim jeans and black shoes.
“We will continue to search for Anthony until we get the answers his family are so desperately seeking,” Ms Godley said.
“The flood water has been making some of the searches difficult but we remain committed to our searches to find Anthony.”
On Saturday, Mr Knott’s friend Steve Shepherd said his disappearance was completely “out of character”.
“He was happy [in his] home life, friends, family. I spoke to him on the Thursday, we were going for a drink on the Saturday. We had future plans,” Mr Shepherd told Sky News.
“It’s just unusual. He’s vanished and we don’t know where.”
