‘He got yanked down by the depths of hell’: 83-year-old MAGA senator Mitch McConnell fell down again, ironically when asked about ICE

The Republican U.S. senator from Kentucky, Mitchell McConnell, has fallen in public a third time this year after two similar incidents in February. Yet, the 83-year-old is adamant to finish his senate term till 2027 and refuses to retire.

In a new video making rounds across social media, McConnell can be seen walking in the Russell Senate Office Building, holding the arm of a personal assistant or bodyguard. Soon, he is approached by a member of The Sunrise movement named Stella, who asks him whether he supports the ICE agents taking working people off the streets and kidnapping them. Essentially trying to walk out of the conversation, McConnell lets go of his caretaker’s hand and walks a few steps before falling to the floor.

He was then immediately picked up by his caretaker and a police officer, and he waved to the camera before being walked off by the two. The video caused Americans to raise essential questions about term limits on congressmen, especially when they refuse to give up power despite being physically and mentally incompetent to make decisions. Users on social media quipped at the incident, remarking, “If you cannot walk the walk, go to a nursing home.”

People are also calling McConnell a “poster child” for term limits, taking a jab at how it’s his eighth time falling in public since 2023. Others took the opportunity to point out how, despite all these accidents, “he won’t have to worry about medical bills” as he’s getting government-funded healthcare, all while his leader is hell-bent on cutting it for common citizens.

McConnell rarely got any sympathy from social media, since he refuses to retire despite being visibly not well enough to fulfill his Senate responsibilities. As Americans are fighting a battle against the unconstitutional torture being carried out by ICE agents on one hand, and juggling with an uncertain promise of healthcare on the other, people like McConnell continue to sit on taxpayers’ money while dodging any accountability or responsibility.

Expressing their anger at him, one user strikingly wrote, “After watching it in slow motion, it’s clear that he got yanked down by the depths of Hell itself.”
