‘He doesn’t need defending’: Yorgos Lanthimos responds to Tarantino’s Paul Dano criticism

Yorgos Lanthimos has weighed in on Quentin Tarantino’s controversial comments about Paul Dano.

The Pulp Fiction director, 63, called Dano, 41, the “weakest actor in SAG,” prompting Dano to receive a flood of support and praise from fellow actors.

Speaking on the Louis Theroux Podcast on Spotify, the Poor Things director, 52, said Dano “doesn’t need defending.”

Lanthimos insisted that he would not criticise Tarantino for “speaking too much, and then saying something about him.”

“Well, we don't have to pile on… Everybody's defended Paul Dano, and he doesn't need defending. Because that's just something someone said.”
