Lionel Messi to Leeds United?
Whites fans can only dream of it.
Messi is one of, if not the greatest player to have ever graced the game of football. The Argentinian has averaged almost a goal a game in his 16 years playing for Barcelona, winning the Ballon d'Or six times.
Leeds United will be looking for reinforcements during the summer transfer window, should they realise their Premier League dream in the final eight games of the Championship season, but while promotion is a dream that is likely to come true, barring an almighty collapse, signing Messi is nothing but a pipe dream.
There is, however, a big connection between Messi and Leeds - Marcelo Bielsa.
Messi and Bielsa both grew up in Rosario - admittedly in different generations - and they both started their football careers with Newell's Old Boys.
And it is Newell's Old Boys who have got the Leeds United fans talking on Twitter.
They posted a picture of Messi and Bielsa with an old quote from the Barcelona magician.
He said: "I admire Bielsa a lot. I would have loved to have had him as a coach."
And naturally, the Leeds fans were quick to make their feelings on the matter known.
Just think, Messi playing off Patrick Bamford, what a combination.
We can but dream, eh Whites fans?
