"He can make a real difference", Jason Tindall verdict on Newcastle United star

Newcastle United coach Jason Tindall believes that Allan Saint-Maximin's presence this season could be the difference between staying up or going down.

Since arriving as United co-owner Amanda Staveley has spoken of her admiration for the French winger and suggested he isn't for sale in January.

The £16million signing from Nice in 2019 netted a vital equaliser against Brentford and had a hand in Joelinton's strike just before half-time.

Now Tindall reckons that the wide man's involvement is going to be crucial as Newcastle try to brush off their relegation troubles.

Former Bournemouth star Tindall said: "We know what quality Allan’s got.

"He’s one of the best dribblers I’ve ever seen during my time in football.

"He can make a real difference.

"He put Brentford on the back foot every time he got the ball.

"We know how important Maxi’s going to be for us throughout the season."

Saint-Maxmin's goal against the Bees in the 3-3 draw was this third of the season and he also has tally of three assists.

Since arriving on Tyneside he now has 10 goals from 69 appearances but now looks set to feature higher up the field in Eddie Howe's 3-4-3 formation.
