HBO show under scrutiny for ICE agent portrayal in latest episode

HBO Max's medical drama "The Pitt" aired an episode that explored the controversial topic of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.
The episode featured an undocumented woman, Pranita, brought to a Pittsburgh hospital by ICE agents after suffering a shoulder injury during a raid, causing fear among staff and patients.
Tensions escalated when ICE agents denied Pranita a phone call to her daughter, and later arrested Nurse Jesse for intervening when they roughly handled the injured patient.
The storyline concluded with Dr. Robby promising legal assistance to the arrested nurse, leaving the patient's fate with ICE uncertain.
The episode garnered mixed reactions from viewers, with some praising its "balanced" portrayal of ICE, while others criticized it for being either "too kind" or "too evil" in its depiction, particularly questioning the agents' empathy.
