Police investigate Ainslie Village fire

ACT Policing is investigating a fire at Ainslie Village, Ainslie.

ACT's Emergency Services Agency was called to a fire at one of the units in the Quick Street complex about 3am, and the fire was extinguished at 3.40am.

Residents from one wing of Ainslie Village were evacuated due to smoke.

ACT ESA declared a hazmat incident after the fire was extinguished.

Police are seeking any information about the fire, including witnesses, CCTV or dashcam footage of any suspicious activity in the area.

ACT Policing has called for anyone with information about the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, quoting reference number 6749697.
