Pat Cummins again succeeded in knocking down India's great wall, as he helped Australia to a 94-run first-innings lead in the crucial third Test at the SCG.
Cummins removed Cheteshwar Pujara for the fourth time this summer as part of his 4-29, leaving India all out for 244 at tea on day three.
Three Indian batsmen were also run out on a strange Saturday in the crucial Test, including Hanuma Vihari to a sensational effort from Josh Hazlewood that helped turn the match.
But the hero for Australia was still Cummins, who has given them the chance to go 2-1 up with one match to play.
Pujara was India's stonewall on their triumphant tour two summers ago, but this series he has continually been beaten down by Cummins.
The Indian right-hander scored the slowest half-century of his career on Saturday when he brought up his 50 from 174 balls.
But he fell just two balls later when a Cummins ball bounced high on him, took his glove and sailed through to Tim Paine behind the stumps.
Cummins now has the figures of 3-19 from 21 overs against Pujara this summer, with the No.3 scoring just five runs from 46 balls against him in Sydney.
It wasn't the only blow Australia's vice-captain landed.
He nabbed the the day's opening wicket when he bowled Ajinkya Rahane for 22, seaming one back at India's skipper as he went to late cut but could only chop on to his stumps.
After removing Shubman Gill on day two, Cummins also bruised Rishabh Pant when he struck his elbow with the second new ball.
Hazlewood capitalised moments later, drawing the wicketkeeper-batsman's edge on 36 as he tried to drive in discomfort and was caught at first slip.
It came as part of a collapse of 5-21, with Cummins doing the job in the field too to run out Ravichandran Ashwin.
Ashwin first hesitated and then failed to put in a final effort through the crease in what should have been an easy single.
Jasprit Bumrah also fell short of his ground to a brilliant direct hit from Marnus Labuschagne, who chased a ball from short leg, slid and threw down the stumps.
But even that wasn't as good as the effort from Hazlewood in the morning session.
Mid-spell, the 196cm quick moved low to his right to intercept a drive, throwing in one motion as he fell to claim a direct hit and catch Vihari well short.
Meanwhile the day's other flashpoint came when Australia were unsuccessful in having Pujara caught at bat-pad off Lyon.
The decision, after footage was obscured and there was no definite spike on hot spot, infuriated Paine who asked umpire Paul Wilson for some "f***ing consistency".
