Looks like this summer will a busy one for not just Brad Stevens and the Boston Celtics but All-Star Jayson Tatum as well as his winning a Gold medal was just added to his offseason plate.
Reported by Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports, the two-time All-Star has committed to playing for Team USA at this summer’s Tokyo Olympics.

Tatum joins commitments from Portland Trail Blazers All-Star guard Damian Lillard and Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green, who was announced as the first two commitments by The Athletic earlier today.
Team USA is hopeful to secure a commitment from Tatum’s childhood friend, Washington Wizards All-Star Bradley Beal, reported by Marc Stein of The New York Times.
This will mark Tatum’s first appearance in the Olympics with Team USA, though has experience playing with the USA Basketball family. Tatum has won Gold medals from the 2015 FIBA U19 World Championship, 2014 FIBA U17 World Championship and 2013 FIBA Americas U16 Championship, as well as playing for the 2019 USA World Cup Team.
Tatum is coming off his second consecutive All-Star appearance, averaging a career-high 26.4 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game.
