A Sydney jury that heard the rape retrial of former NRL fullback Jarryd Hayne will reconvene on Friday to continue its deliberations.
Hayne, 33, pleaded not guilty to two counts of aggravated sexual assault stemming from an encounter with a then-26-year-old woman in her Newcastle home in 2018.
The jury, which began deliberating on Wednesday afternoon, was sent home about 3.45pm on Thursday after almost six hours of discussions behind closed doors.
It will reconvene in Sydney's District Court on Friday morning.
