Hayley Hughes targeted by crook in Dubai who used bank card to book limos

Love Island star Hayley Humes has claimed that she has been a victim of identity theft.

The former reality TV personality - who appeared on the looking for love series in 2018 - told her Instagram fans that she "lost' her bank card and later discovered that it has been used by a crook to make fraudulent payments.

Fuming at the incident, Liverpudlian Hayley - who is currently holidaying in Dubai - took to her Instagram Stories to explain what happened and how she spotted that her card was being rinsed.

The beauty queen typed: "OK wait for it, lost my business bank card to then go on my online banking to report lost card to only find out someone’s been spending it soon booking multiples chugger’s and limousine’s [sic]."

Hayley went on to explain that she was not feeling her best as she was struggling with her "TOTM" - time of the month - as she continued: "Honestly out of all days; today I came on my TOTM (girls you know the feeling) so I really don’t need this right now got to laugh!! Wow."

The model did not tell her fans if she was seeking police help to get to the bottom of the theft.

It is understood that Hayley has been in the UAE since December 2020.

The blonde showed that she was boarding a flight from Birmingham to the desert-based destination at the end of last year before international travel was banned in the UK.

At the time she jetted out Birmingham was placed in Tier 3 - which allowed for travel abroad at the time.

Hayley has been treating fans to galleries of bikini-clad snaps during her months in warmer climes.

Just three days ago she slipped her enviable physique in a leopard print bikini and posed for a series of snaps that showed her on the beach.

In January, the Mirror reported that Love Island stars were being bombarded with abuse and even death threats after showing off in the sunshine on foreign jaunts.

One agent of a star who had travelled to Dubai told how they had been inundated with messages saying they’d hoped she died from Covid.

They said: “We manage their social media accounts and I’ve seen a number of death threats in direct messages.

“It’s been relentless. We warned them not to travel abroad while a lot of the nation is under severe restrictions as it’s a terrible look, but they ignored it.”

The agent said: “You have to remember a lot of what constitutes work for them is doing vlogs or posting Instagram shots advertising diet drinks.

“It’s work but in a very loose sense. But it’s enough to allow them to travel. The free hotels offered in return for publicity are doubtless a nice perk too.

“But it has gone down like a lead balloon with their fans, and you have to wonder if it’s really worth it.”
