Brits have been warned the first pollen bomb of 2023 is landing today - and it could bring misery for millions over Easter.
Hayfever sufferers are on red alert now the weather is starting to get warmer at last, and while that's great news for most, those with the condition may not be in the mood to celebrate.
A sudden explosion in pollen levels is going to make life tough for many and it's about to all start up again soon.
There's now an alert covering most of England, Wales and Northern Ireland in place.
Much of the North West, North East and Yorkshire have escaped - for now.
Airborne allergen expert Max Wiseberg says the first bomb has usually already arrived. The data was compiled by OnlineCasino.
"The peak of the hay fever season has been delayed and the recent milder, wet weather has encouraged growth," said the founder of HayMax barrier balms.
"Last month was the wettest March in England for over 40 years.
"So there’ll be plenty of pollen now the sun is coming out."
But if you're suffering, you may not want to shout it from the roof tops - there's some hayfever deniers out there!
One in four have been accused of “making it up” by those who don’t experience symptoms.
A poll of 1,500 adults, who have the seasonal allergy, found 19 percent believe those who don’t have it are unsympathetic to their ailments.
Dr Roger Henderson, GP and spokesman for Olbas, which commissioned the research, said: “People who don’t suffer from allergies often think the effects aren’t very serious.
“But our research shows just what a massive impact it is having on their lifestyles – and also the inquisition they have to face as a result of missing out.
“As hay fever is most commonly at its worst in the spring and summer – which are times when social engagements tend to increase – many are unfortunately left with tough decisions to make.
“A simple nasal spray or decongestant can help relieve a blocked nose and reduce the impact of headaches and sinus issues, allowing you to enjoy your summer social life by day, and sleep better at night.”
Other data showed that the southeast is the worst for hay fever sufferers, with a total pollen integral of 14,131 per cubic metre across the 92-day spring period from March to June, and an average daily pollen count of 153.60.
The second highest region is East Midlands, where total pollen integral came in at 12,026 and an average daily pollen count of 130.72.
In third place is the West Midlands, with a total count of 6,403 and an average daily count of 69.60.
