Haycast 09: Sue Townsend, Roy Hattersley and Nick Clegg

Our final Haycast opens with the creator of Adrian Mole, Sue Townsend, talking to Sarah Crown about her inadvertent elevation to the staus of the UK's foremost political satirist, and why the Hay festival is Adrian's natural home.

Xan Brooks takes a walk by the river Wye, which marks the boundary between England and Wales, with Roy Hattersley, and asks him about his latest book, In Search of England, and how he feels about the new coalition.

Nick Clegg, one of the coalition's prime movers, was a last-minute addition to the festival programme. He was interviewed on stage this morning by Philippe Sands QC, who spoke to us afterwards about his impressions of the deputy prime minister.

Finally, festivalgoer Tracy Sortwell came back to report on how her week had gone, Charlie Higson spoke to Xan Brooks about his zombie novel for chlidren, The Enemy, and we're played out by Toumani Diabate and his band.
