Hay fever sufferers claim Vaseline is 'miracle cure' as pollen count rockets

While lots of us have been enjoying the sunny weather across Liverpool, many have been suffering as the pollen count rockets.

For those people who suffer with hay fever the good weather can be a minefield, as they try lots of remedies to help alleviate the painful  symptoms.

And painful it can be - hay fever is so much more unpleasant than simply sneezing more than usual. It's the itchy eyes, the fatigue, the scratchy sensation in your throat and your face puffing up.

But many people are claiming that vaseline is a "miracle cure" with many saying it had stopped their symptoms almost instantly - reports Mirror Online.

(The People)

People have been advising that if you apply a layer around the insides of their nostrils as high as possible it can help stop hay fever taking hold.

As the jelly traps the pollen before it can get in your system and start causing the pesky problems.

And lots of people of social media swear by the remedy.

One said: "Our nephew is very bad hayfever and allergic to our dogs, since we started doing the vaseline up the beak he has been sound, works 100% pal."

Another said: "Vaseline! Light coating around the inside of your nostrils, traps the pollen before it gets into your system. Definitely first thing in the morning and keep re-applying as the day goes on. It really works."

And a third said: "cure for hay fever: Vaseline in your nose. thank me later."
