Hay fever sufferers throughout Ireland have been warned of high pollen counts this weekend.
The pollen levels will be high in Leinster and moderate in the rest of the country today, but that will change tomorrow.
Experts warned that all areas of the country will see high pollen counts on both Friday and Saturday, as temperatures are also expected to increase across the board.
Met Eireann explained: "We are in the peak of the grass pollen season so a high risk can be expected during dry, sunny days when the temperature is in the high teens.
"Occasional showers will reduce the risk wherever they occur.
"Nettle, dock and plantain will be airborne in significant amounts, with a high risk on warm, dry sunny days."
Hay fever sufferers will remain on alert as we move into next week, with sweltering 24C temperatures in the forecast from Monday onwards.
