Hawks in free fall after fourth straight loss, fall to Suns

PHOENIX _ The Hawks are officially in free fall.

Their fourth straight loss _ and seventh in eight games _ came in a close battle with the Suns. The Suns used a fourth-quarter rally for a 109-107 victory Wednesday night.

The Suns scored 11 straight points to build a 10-point fourth quarter, 94-84. The Hawks got as close as a point in the final two minutes. The comeback ended there.

The Hawks (10-9) were led by Dennis Schroder with a game-high 31 points, his career-high. Tim Hardaway Jr. added 21 points, Kent Bazemore added 19 points and Dwight Howard had a double-double of 17 points and 14 rebounds.

The Suns (6-13) snapped a two-game win streak. Brandon Knight led the Suns with 23 points. Jared Dudley and P.J. Tucker each added 17 points.

The Suns went up by five points, 104-99, with just over a minute to play and held on for the victory.

The Hawks ended their five-game road trip with a 1-4 record.
