Hawaii (3-1) vs. Nevada (3-1) Game Preview
What’s Going To Happen
This should be fun.
The Nevada offense hasn’t been consistent, but it’s had a few nice moment with the passing game and it’s been opportunistic. The Pack defense is great at taking the ball away with ten forced turnovers so far, and that’s been enough to survive to eek its was to a 3-1 start.
Can Nevada stop the midrange passing games? Not really. UTEP and Weber State couldn’t do anything over the last two weeks, but Oregon and Purdue were able to throw at will for well over 400 yards.
Hawaii hasn’t always been sharp, and there have been way too many picks – nine so far with seven in the games against Arizona and Washington – but with no real fear of a Nevada pass rush, Cole McDonald should go off.
There will be interceptions, and the Nevada offense should be able to roll against a Rainbow Warrior defense that won’t generate any pressure, but the better of the two passing games will shine through.
