More than three quarters of Londoners say having good wi-fi at home is important to a healthy work-life balance.

The research comes as more people work from home or split homeworking and the office following the pandemic.

Some 77% of those surveyed by BT said that a strong wi-fi connection is “definitely important” when it comes to good work-life balance.

Almost two thirds (65%) of those polled claimed that weak wi-fi has restricted them creating their own home office or workspace.

While 75% of Londoners believe having a “multi-room” homeworking set up increases productivity and creativity.

The office (38%) living room (21%) and bedroom (16%) take the top creative spots around the home, the research found.

BT released the research, based on surveys of 2,000 UK residents, to support its Complete Wi-Fi - that extends the existing home broadband signal to offer a strong and seamless connection throughout a whole house.

Matt Hughes, Broadband & Home Director at BT said: “We want our customers to feel as productive and creative as possible, so it’s important they have an internet connection that helps them do this.”
