'Having a Nightmare' - Spurs fans can't believe what Davinson Sanchez has done vs Middlesbrough

Tottenham Hotspur are in FA Cup action tonight (Tuesday), as they look to get through to the fourth round at the second attempt against Championship side Middlesbrough.

The first game at the Riverside Stadium finished in a 1-1 draw.

But things look like they could be a lot more comfortable for Tottenham in the replay with goals from Giovani Lo Celso and Erik Lamela giving them a 2-0 lead going into the half-time break.

Spurs boss Jose Mourinho had to strike the balance of protecting players ahead of the Premier League trip to Watford on Saturday and putting out a side that is strong enough to win the tie.

Davinson Sanchez was one player who kept his place in the starting eleven from the Premier League game against Liverpool, lining up alongside Jan Vertonghen, with youngster Japhet Tanganga also keeping his place in the right-back position.

While Tanganga again impressed during the first-half of the match against Middlesbrough, Sanchez had a less comfortable evening.

The defender had a shaky first-half despite his team keeping a clean sheet, and fans took to social media to give their thoughts on the defender's performance in the first 45 minutes.

Should Spurs hold onto their lead they will face an away trip to Southampton in the fourth round of the competition.
