Christmas in Manchester is officially opening on Friday with the opening of the Christmas markets.
But one holiday company has already launched big discounts on holidays for 2020 including parks within a short drive of Manchester.
Haven has launched half-price breaks in holiday parks across the UK for 2020 and it includes big savings on staycations in the North West.
The company is selling four-day breaks in caravan parks, glamping sites and holiday homes for less than £10 per person.
Families can book a stay in Presthaven in North Wales, a short drive from Manchester, for £66.93 per family for four nights. That works out at less than £17 per person for the entire trip.
The Presthaven resort on Wales' northernmost tip is close to five miles of sandy beaches on the north-eastern coast. It includes a Aerial Adventure course and outdoor lazy river as well as an indoor sports hall and heated indoor pool.
A trip to Calan Gran holiday park in Blackpool for four days in March is priced at £71.40 and is only an hour from Manchester. The park has two play areas, adventure golf, a heated indoor pool, amusement arcade and sports facilities including bungee trampolines and a climbing wall.
The park itself is near to sand dunes at Fleetwood and Cleveleys, while the Forest of Bowland is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Other destinations that have been reduced include Thorpe Park and Golden Sands holiday parks in Lincolnshire and parks in Essex, Sussex and Norfolk.
The deals also include a stay in two-bedroom glamping tent for five in Somerset for £62.50 for an entire family for four days in March.
All of the breaks are self-catering and the savings are as much as 50 per cent off, according to Haven.
