Holiday giant Haven has confirmed the opening date for parks in England following the publication of the reopening roadmap by UK Government.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson yesterday announced how he planned to open the economy in the coming weeks and months.
This includes reopening the tourism and hospitality sectors in England.
Up to April 12 the guidance remains the same with people in England told to minimise travel and overnight stays are not permitted.
Step 2 will come into force on that date as long as the conditions to ease restrictions are met.
Under the next rules domestic overnight stays will be permitted but only with one household staying together. Self contained accommodation in England can also open on that date.
Haven today said following that announcement they will reopen their parks in England on April 12.
When it comes to hospitality on the parks, outdoor hospitality can open on April 12 with indoor to follow on May 17 under the current timescale.
On the current projection then from May 17 different households will be able to stay together.
When it comes to their Welsh parks Haven are waiting for confirmation from Welsh Government.
First Minister Mark Drakeford has said that there is the possibility that self contained accommodation could open in Wales from April 2.
But this will depend on case numbers continuing to fall.
Holidaymakers would also be impacted by the rules in England that do not permit overnight stays until April 12.
The Scottish Government have not yet confirmed an opening date for self contained accommodation in Scotland.
