Haven adds more outdoor bars, kiosks and screens to parks ahead of 'busiest summer yet'

Haven is preparing for its 'busiest summer yet' by adding a whole host of extra outdoor facilities to its holiday parks across the UK.

The company has announced that there will be more outdoor bars, Burger King kiosks, outdoor LED screens and other facilities such as outdoor furniture so there's more space for families to enjoy the sunshine.

Some of the most exciting additions will be coming to the Haggerston Castle and Presthaven parks, which will receive new attraction The Jump, where guests can freefall from two different heights onto a massive airbag.

Meanwhile, five parks will receive outdoor bars, three will get the Burger King kiosks, and 10 will receive LED screens where families can enjoy a range of entertainment. 20 parks will also receive new retail karts where families can buy a variety of holiday essentials.

The new additions come as part of a £2.6million development for the brand, which have been in place in recent months so that they will be completed in time for the school summer holidays.

Gerard Tempest, Chief Marketing Officer for Haven, said: "As part of our extensive Park of the Future program we have been trialling both large scale concepts such as the Marina Bar and Stages and Adventure Villages but also some small scale projects such as utilising pop up bars.

"As we look to a busy summer, we have introduced more to our outside areas for guests to enjoy whether they are on a Stay or Stay+Play holiday."

The company has seen such high demand for its parks this summer as Brits opt for UK holidays amidst uncertainty around travelling abroad.

As a result, Haven has made the decision to keep 11 of its sites open until November 15, instead of closing them at the end of October, which it has done historically.

The 11 parks remaining open until November 15 are:

The new dates will include both Stay and Stay + Play packages (the latter includes access to heaps of on-site activities from the indoor pools to evening entertainment).
