Have your say on school uniform problems

It's back to school time again and the kids are probably already looking as tidy as they will all year.

But are they wearing cast off school uniforms inherited from older siblings (that they will grow into eventually), or are they wearing school uniforms provided by their school's 'preferred supplier'?

Or are they wearing something you got from the supermarket and stitched the school badge onto?

Maybe they are even wearing their own clothes and their school doesn't even have a uniform.

School uniform backers say they instill a sense of pride and make all children look the same so prevent bullying, while others say children will always find a way to stand out, and that they put a financial burden on some familes who can't afford it.

It seems these days that school uniforms are just another thing for everyone to fall out over as we hear complaints that they are too expensive, or hard to get, or they are sexist.

Or that the show policy is too restrictive (no black trainers!)

We've put together this quick survey to see what you think about the pros and pitfalls of the British school uniform.
