Have your own 'African Queen' moment on a riverboat cruise and safari

Nov. 11--Here's a different way see Africa -- from aboard the deck of a riverboat cruising the Chobe and Zambezi rivers. The new 10-day itinerary, offered by Natural Habitat Adventures, begins in Livingstone, Zambia, with a tour of nearby Victoria Falls National Park.

Days two, three and four will be spent aboard the Chobe Princess, which offers travelers an opportunity to see water buffalo and antelope, crocodiles and water birds. Small-skiff excursions will provide even closer sightings.

Participants then transfer by air to Botswana for five days on safari in the private Selinda Reserve, home to herds of elephants, and the Moremi Game Reserve in the Okavango Delta. Lodging includes Selinda Explorers Camp and Little Tubu. Each trip is limited to seven guests.

Dates: June 26-July 5, Sept. 11-20, Oct. 14-23 and Nov. 5-14. Dates also for 2017.

Price: From $10,995 per person, double occupancy, depending on the date. Includes airport transfers, accommodations, all meals, expedition leader, local guides and entry fees.
