A frantic search is under way for a missing 27-year-old man.
Northumbria Police officers are "concerned" about Ewan Brown's welfare.
Ewan, from Spital Tongues, is profoundly deaf and hasn't been seen since Monday.
Specialist search teams and friends and family were out looking for him in the Sandyford and Jesmond Vale area on Tuesday.
According to Northumbria Police , he was last seen in the Heaton area at 8.40am on Monday.
He is known to frequent Jesmond Dene and search efforts have focused on the wooded, secluded areas around the Ouseburn river and nearby parks.
Officers were seen speaking to nearby residents throughout the afternoon.
Posters appealing for sightings of Ewan were also stuck to signposts in the area.
Anyone who sees him is asked to call police on 101 quoting 155 290419.
