Teenager missing from Lake Macquarie found safe and well

UPDATE: A teenage boy reported missing from the Lake Macquarie area has been located safe and well.

The 16-year-old from Morisset was reported missing about 6pm on Friday by members of his family.

About 2pm Sunday police from Lake Macquarie Police District received notification from the boy's family that he had found at a house in Dudley.

Police would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance.

EARLIER: POLICE are appealing for public assistance to find a missing teenage boy from Lake Macquarie.

The boy,16, was last seen leaving a Bolton Pont home about 6pm on Thursday when he indicated he was going to a friend's place at Wyoming.

He hasn't been seen since and officers have commenced inquiries to locate him.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 185cm tall, of slim build, with brown hair and blue eyes.

When he was last seen, he was wearing a Morisset High School t-shirt, black shorts with a small Adidas logo on the left leg, and red Nike TN shoes.
