'Have you lost some plants?': Police uncover huge cannabis farm in Horwich

Police have discovered a cannabis farm at a derelict shop.

The police were called amid suspicions that a cannabis farm was being grown in Horwich.

Police arrived at a disused shop in Chorley New Road to find a room filled with cannabis plants and lights.

An investigation is now underway into the officer's findings.

The farm is currently being dismantled.

A spokesperson for the Greater Manchester Police said: "The police received a telephone call regarding a possible cannabis farm.

"The police have attended and found a disused shop on Chorley new Road and discovered a cannabis farm which is currently being dismantled.

"The investigation is currently on going."

Bolton West police officers joked on Facebook on Friday: "Lost property found.

"Are you a budding horticulturist? Have you lost some plants?

"We found these plants at a disused shop in Horwich.

"Please contact us directly with your details and we'd be happy to help!"
