Obstacle racers and outdoor sports enthusiasts are invited to take on a whole new kind of challenge at the "X-Country TRIIB Obstacle Race" at Pattana Golf Club & Resort in Chon Buri on April 28 from 8am.

Hailed as Thailand's most challenging and exciting obstacle race, the event is open to any athlete aged 14 up who wishes to push themselves to the limit and work every muscle in their bodies.

Created to test the physical and mental tenacity of competitors, the race involves cross-country running, obstacle courses, carrying objects and crawling through mud.

Designed to be assembled, disassembled and reassembled whenever and wherever desired, the various obstacles will provide unique challenges to participants, as they attempt to crawl through sand or navigate their way over and under a series of walls.

Participants can enter as individuals or as members of a team. There are four categories to choose from: the 8.5km solo elite, the 8.5km solo for different age groups, the 17km solo and the 8.5km for teams of four. Trophies and cash prizes will be awarded to the first, second and third place winners.

The entry fee is 1,500 baht for the first two categories, 2,250 baht for the 17km solo and 6,000 baht for the team category. All competitors will receive a race pack containing a bib number and timing device (one device per team), a T-shirt and a medal.
