'Have they watched him play?' - Arsenal fans are in agreement over Granit Xhaka transfer reports

Granit Xhaka could be on his way out of Arsenal during the January transfer window.

Reports on Friday morning claimed that Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin are ready to make a move for the midfielder, who has had an eventful season at Arsenal during 2019/20.

The Switzerland international made the headlines after reacting angrily to Arsenal fans when he was being substituted during the 2-2 draw with crystal Palace back in October. He swore and gestured at fans as he made his way off the pitch, before taking his shirt off and heading straight down the tunnel.

The incident led to Xhaka being stripped of the captaincy at the Emirates Stadium, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang taking over the role.

Xhaka has since forced his way back into the starting lineup under interim coach Freddie Ljungberg, although he did miss the Premier League game against Man City with concussion. He could make his return in Arsenal's Premier League match vs Everton on Saturday.

However, football.london understands that Arsenal may be willing to listen to offers for the midfielder.

Reports in Germany suggest that Hetha Berlin are keen to take the midfielder off of Arsenal's hands, with Bild suggesting that a fee of up to €45m could be offered to the Gunners, although other reports suggest that a loan deal could be a more likely option.

Arsenal fans have taken to social media to give their thoughts on the reports, and most seem to be in agreement over the potential move.

Xhaka has played 148 times for Arsenal, scoring 11 goals and providing 17 assists.
