Have Super Bowl bettors figured out what color Gatorade will be poured on the winning coach?

On occasion, something that’s planned ahead of time — say, who will ascend to the Iron Throne on Game of Thrones, remember the odds on the character (SPOILER ALERT!) who turned out to be the one chosen? Or the Jeopardy GOAT winner — will leak or rumors will spread around.

That will affect the betting on it, sending what might have been longshot odds plummeting.

That may have happened with a bet offered by some sportsbooks on the color of Gatorade that will be poured on the winning coach of Super Bowl 54.

Seemingly out of nowhere, purple is now the favorite.

Could it be because of rumors that circulated on Twitter? That seems to be one theory. Blue won last year when the Patriots beat the Rams and the Eagles had yellow Gatorade in LII.

So if you got in early at +1200, you might be holding on to a golden … er, purple … ticket.
