Charlton Athletic striker Lyle Taylor is understood to have said goodbye to his teammates today - and Nottingham Forest fans are not convinced that that want to see Sabri Lamouchi move for him.
The Addicks' top scorer is out of contract this summer and at the age of 30, believes this summer may be his last chance to get a move to a bigger club with a bigger contract.
With that in mind, he has made the bizarre decision not to play out the rest of the season - part of which will extend beyond his contract - to avoid risk of an injury that could scupper his chances of a move.
Forest are strongly linked with the striker as Lamouchi continues his search to provide Lewis Grabban with some healthy competition on Trentside.
As the story broke, one Charlton fan took to our Forest Facebook page (where you can join the debate!) to say: "As a Charlton fan you can have him! On his day he is brilliant - but with his interview not loyal to the football club that made him the player he is now"
And Forest fans responded in their numbers. Here are just some of them...
Richard Ward: If what he said in his interview was true, he’s concerned might not be the same after injury..but think he was just saying that, so not a loyal player!
Kyle Servera: Hope he’s on his way to Forest... he’s heavily linked with Rangers and I can’t see him being any better than average.
Geoff Smith: With his attitude, I would never want to see him at Forest. Massively off course with his moral compass.
Craig Smith: Didn't realise he was 30 thought he was about 21 or 22, I wouldn't go for him on a big salary myself unless proven at this level.
Danny Norton: Heart like a pea in my view, who wants someone like this when the chips are down. I’ve no doubt he’ll do the same again in similar situations.
Lee Goodburn: Unfortunately he’ll go to Brentford, Fulham or Bournemouth before us I think.
