Have Fair City fans just predicted an incredible plot twist in the Orla, Wayne and Tommy saga?

Last night's emotionally-fuelled episode of Fair City was full of shocks as a desperate Orla almost outed Tommy as sick Junior's dad.

The unhinged mum even begged Sash to carry her child after Breda revealed surrogacy is their best option to conceive an angel baby that could save her son's life.

However, as fans of the RTE soap debate the ongoing saga on Twitter, another solution has emerged - and it could be a genius plot twist.

Fair City Spoilers: Doug and Darragh react very differently when tragedy strikes

As Junior's biological father, a baby conceived by Tommy and Orla would be the ideal bone marrow donor for the lad.

But if Tommy's on-off flame Jane were to become pregnant, could that baby also be a match?

That's what fans are asking. One tweeted: "Is Jane pregnant?"

Another wrote: "Jane is pregnant. Tommy Dillon is the dad. Could the baby save Junior because they will share a dad."

Meanwhile, other viewers are convinced Sash will agree to be the surrogate to ease her guilty conscience.

After all, it was her accidental run-in with Junior in Spar that landed him in hospital.

One confident fan predicted: "Sash will be the surrogate cos she feels bad. Sticking out a mile."

Another posed the question: "Is Sash going to be the surrogate?"

Either way, it looks like some fans are getting fed up with the ongoing saga and are keen to see it resolved.

One person tweeted: "I love Fair city. Why have the same scripts, like that sickness of child, far too much moaning with Orla, move on with the story .

"Get Sash to be surrogate, that will put a stop to the constant moaning."
