Have Britain's Got Talent fans rumbled magic act 4MG's semi-final winning trick?

Britain’s Got Talent fans believe they have exposed magic group 4MG's latest magic trick, which secured their spot in the upcoming final.

The magicians were overcome with emotion when they were crowned winners of Tuesday night’s show, topping the public vote after leaving the judges gobsmacked by their clever trick.

Using cards, lists and a set of Scrabble tiles, 4MG predicted that the judges would complete the tasks to reveal the name of former contestants Stavros Flatley, before welcoming them to the stage.

Simon Cowell was asked to select a ball from a pot while Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden were asked to select cards from a pack which were shown to the audience beforehand.

But several fans were unimpressed and claimed that the cards selected were “forced” and that the list on one of the performer’s phones was actually one of several.

One viewer wrote: “The cards were just a sequence of the 3 words, repeated (for example 1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3). No matter where you cut it, you’ll end up with 1 of each. The bottom few were different for effect, hence why we didn’t see above here and below the top few #BGT.”

Another said: “He had 100 lists on his phone with Stavros Flatley in a different position on each list. The 3 cards were always on top of the deck, Amanda Holden split the deck just for show and he gave the top 3 cards #BGT.”

“Always dodgy when they don't show you the cards first...#force #BGT,” somebody else tweeted.

But others were baffled by the trick and called for them to be crowned the BGT 2019 champions.

”4MG to win the whole thing !!! Love them, so talented! #BGT,” said one. Another added that they were “big fans” of the young act.

Comedian Siobhan Phillips also went through on Tuesday night after a head-to-head with Matt Stirling, who also finished in the top three of the public vote.

The two acts will join Policeman Dave and his retired police dog Finn as well as Flakefleet Primary School.

Britain’s Got Talent continues tonight at 7.30pm and 9.30pm on ITV.
