We all knew this day would come. Eventually Elon Musk and Donald Trump were not going to be on friendly terms. And the fall out is even more glorious than we could have imagined.
It started as we all imagined it would. After Musk’s “special government employee” status ended, the public was on pins and needles. Would Elon Musk fade into oblivion and not make a fuss? Highly doubted it but we could hope. That hope was short lived as he took to X, a social media platform he purchased and trashed all in the name of winning over Donald Trump.
Prior to their blow-up, the President commented on Elon Musk and how he has not yet spoken with any ill-will about Trump. “He hasn’t said [anything] bad about me personally, but I’m sure that will be next,” he said. Trump’s crystal ball was right as Musk very quickly began pushing back at the President.
Musk took to X to share his thoughts on how the President needed him, writing: “Without me, Trump would have lost the election, Dems would control the House and Republicans would be 51-49 in the Senate.”
Their back and forth has continued on throughout the week with Musk using his X account to share his thoughts on Trump, including remembering the “good ol days” when the two were working together. Like how Trump used to support Elon Musk. This really is just sounding like a bad break up.
The most recent post from Musk does feel like the final stab in the back that he wanted to leave Trump with: He posted that Trump is in the Epstein files. Many Americans have been questioning what is going on with the Jeffrey Epstein files and why a lot of it is still redacted. While many of us had our “ideas” of why that was the case, Musk took to X to share his truth on the situation.
“Time to drop the really big bomb: Donald Trump is in the Epstein files,” Musk wrote. “That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!” We do not know if this is the real reason or just Musk getting revenge.
Whatever is going on, it is truly hilarious watching Musk and Donald Trump fighting. Look, this country is on fire and if it means laughing at these two dudes with their fragile egos and small…well…then so be it. But boy oh boy is this messy. I do long for the day when Musk starts posting fan vids of himself and Trump that he made with his photo album on his phone. That’s going to be hilarious.
