‘Have a dryer? You should have this’ – the $17 extending dryer vent cleaning hero 10,000 Amazon shoppers bought last month and loved

Neutral laundry room with bright window, butler sink, ceiling mounted drying rack, and dark red wooden cabinets and wall panels. Marble worktops and brass hardware finish the cottage look.

If you’ve never removed the immense amount of dust and lint that silently gathers in your dryer vent, the time is now.

Avoid fire risks this fall and improve the longevity of your appliance with this simple $17 dryer vent kit. Many similar products need a power drill to attach and spin, but this 30-foot extendable and flexible brush does the hard work for you with minimal effort.

No wonder 10,000 Amazon shoppers stocked up last month, especially now as the weather starts to cool and dryers are running more often, it’s an essential tool to help you easily clean your dryer vents.

Whilst you can use a leaf blower to force out lint and dust from your dryer’s vent, this flexible, long brush specifically made for the job will help you keep closer control on all the debris that pumps out on the other end.

More than 10,000 Amazon shoppers bought it in the last month alone, and it remains Amazon’s Choice. This is a label retailers cannot pay to display on their listings, and means Amazon's smart shopping algorithm has noticed this product is highly rated, rarely returned, usually in stock, and useful for those who buy it.

Verified shopper David gives this product five stars out of five, stating simply, ‘Have a dryer? You should have this.’ He goes on to explain that he installed the dryer vent eight years earlier, and knew he needed at least 22 ft of cleaning apparatus.

David adds that he was ‘very pleased with the performance’ and was able to use the cleaning kit with ease. ‘Once [it] got to the vent, I simply pulled it back through, and got very little resistance. I took an electric leaf blower and stuck it in the pipe, wrapped a rag to seal it, and ran it for a minute. There outside, lay a huge pile of lint!’

It’s not a one-hit wonder either, with David adding, ‘This goes on my calendar for yearly maintenance from now on. I additionally removed the dryer back, pulled and cleaned the duct, and vacuumed all around. The rods that came with it seem to be very sturdy, with clean threading, and require only a little effort with 2 pliers to break and separate. The money I saved, and the experience I got, was worth far more than the 20 bucks this cost.’

It’s a great job to add to your September cleaning list, as cozy sweater season approaches and you're getting your warmer clothes out of longer-term storage spots and doing laundry loads to refresh your for winter items, including drying them with ease.
