This is the haunting last photo of a 16-year-old girl just moments before she was thrown and killed by the horse she is seen riding.
Thais Pereira Rodrigues had mounted her dad's horse at a cowboy tournament at the family farm in Granja, Ceara state, Brazil, on July 10.
The farm had been hosting a vaquejada event, where a pair of wranglers ride alongside a bull as close as they dare.
But moments after her mum had taken the snap, the horse spooked and stampeded towards woodland with Thais still in the saddle.
Her mother ran after the animal, but she found her daughter lying unconscious among the trees minutes later.

The teen, who was an only child and had a passion for animals, was taken to an emergency care unit, but died of severe head injuries.
She was buried on Monday.
Thais was an only child and loved animals, said her family.
She was taking a technical course in agriculture and had bright plans for the future.
Her school said: "We extend our condolences to her family and friends for the irreparable loss."

She was a second year high-school student and an agricultural technician at the Guilherme Teles Gouveia Vocational School, globo.com reports.
Her philosophy professor Santiago Pontes, who had been teaching the teenager since her first year, said: "In addition to being loved by everyone, she participated in projects in the area of the course, demonstrating her interest in studies, such as in the construction of a worm farm, under the guidance of Professor Marcos Deames."
He added: "I believe that the passion for animals was already brought from home and only increased with the practices of the course.
"A vain girl, she never commented to me which career she would like to follow, but the passion for animals indicated something like veterinary or animal husbandry.
