Haunted Live to investigate paranormal activity at Nottingham nightclub tonight

Paranormal shenanigans caught on camera at a city centre nightclub have piqued the interest of professional ghost hunters, Haunted Live.

The team, who have previously investigated the likes of Bosworth House and claim to have contacted the spirit of Elvis Presley, will be at Pryzm, in Upper Parliament Street, tonight (October 16) for two hours of sleuthing.

Their investigation will be streamed live on the Haunted Live Official Facebook page from 9pm to 11pm.

Over the past 12 months Pryzm nightclub, once the site of an old hospital and jail, has been subjected to some ghostly goings-on, caught on CCTV.

Last year, the unauthorised opening of a till caused a burglar alarm to be set off. But as the security footage clearly showed there wasn't a soul in sight nor a culprit caught on camera. The dance floor was in fact, dead.

Staff told Nottinghamshire Live they had heard rumours of paranormal activity at the Lower Parliament Street venue but they hadn't taken them seriously.

Then earlier this month video footage showed a fridge door opening by itself, behind the bar.

Four bottles were captured coming out of the fridge with some force, bouncing on the floor of the bar area.

Speaking previously about the first incident, deputy manager Tom Dodd said: ""There have always been rumours about ghostly sightings and sounds when the club was closed. We never took them seriously and used to joke about our friendly ghost Casper.

"Now it seems that Casper is for real and we’re looking at calling in paranormal experts to see if they can help communicate with him or her.”
