Another great barrage of recommendations last week, so thanks for that. And to everyone who pointed out that the Pixies named Allison after jazz musician Mose Allison rather than a woman, er, sorry. Mea culpa.
This week's theme is hatchet jobs. I want songs that bubble with bile, whether the target is an ex-lover, former bandmate, bitter rival, public figure or unnamed foe. They can be specific character assassinations like Ether, Nas's vicious takedown of Jay-Z, or broadsides against a whole range of targets, such as L7's Shitlist.
Musicians can be a bitter, grudge-harbouring lot so you shouldn't be stuck for options. The nastier and wittier the better.
