SONGKHLA: A cat used up one of its nine lives when a woman allowed rescuers to demolish part of a wall in her house to save its life.

Napatcharasin Kaenyuk on Saturday agreed to let rescuers of the Mittraphab Samakki Foundation cut through the wall of her house in Hat Yai district after they told her it was the only way to save the feline.

Ms Napatcharasin said she heard the cat meowing on Friday night and found it trapped between the walls of two buildings. She then asked for help from the foundation.

Rescuers took about 30 minutes to cut a hole in the wall and rescue the cat.

It was believed to have fallen into the narrow gap while trying to catch a mouse on the roof.
