HasanAbi says Asmongold should be permanently banned
During a livestream on August 9, HasanAbi responded to Asmongold’s YouTube video Why I'm Gone , in which the streamer addressed his two-week Twitch suspension. The controversy followed comments in which Asmongold described immigrants using dehumanizing language and advocated shooting people, including children, in a discussion about immigration.
Rather than apologizing, Asmongold said he stood by his comments. That response became the focus of Hasan’s criticism.
Hasan argued that Asmongold appeared to be testing how far Twitch and YouTube would allow him to go before taking stronger action. He also compared the current moderation environment with what he believes would have happened several years ago.
