Has Steelers LB Bud Dupree secured a contract extension?

Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Bud Dupree entered the 2019 season as a lame duck. The Steelers gave Dupree his fifth-year option paying him more than $9 million this season but there has been no conversation about an extension with the Steelers.

The Steelers decided to make the financial investment in Dupree for this season in hopes he could finally play like the guy they drafted in the first round back in 2015. But based on what he’s done in the first seven games, does it look like he’s going to get the new contract he wants?

Dupree has 29 tackles and four sacks through seven games. He has also forced a fumble and has two passes defended. Dupree’s career-high for sacks is 6.5 so he’s on pace to beat that number easily. But is it enough? Cast your vote and let us know if you think Dupree is going to get a big extension with the Steelers or will Pittsburgh let him hit free agency and sign somewhere else?
