Has former Swansea City favourite Wilfried Bony found a new club with ex-Man City team-mate?

Former Swansea City striker Wilfried Bony has endured a difficult couple of years.

Brought back to SA1 in a bid to stave-off Premier League relegation, his return to South Wales did not go to plan. At all.

He could not find the goals to keep Swansea up and his season finished prematurely with a campaign-ending knee ligament injury.

He wasn't fit for the start of the Championship season was eased back into action by Graham Potter.

The decision was made to loan out the Ivorian in January of this year - partly to get his astronomical wages off the books.

He went to Qatar to sign for Al-Arabi, where his contract with Swansea expired, with neither the player or club taking up the one-year option on his deal.

Now a free agent and recovering from his exploits with Ivory Coast at the Africa Cup of Nations, the 30-year-old is on the lookout for a new club.

And it seems an old team-mate could be coming to the rescue.

Reports in Belgium are linking Bony with a reunion with Manchester City stalwart Vincent Kompany, who is now the player-manager of Anderlecht.

Kompany is in the market for a striker, report Voetbal24 , and Bony is said to be in the running.

Standard Liege are also tracking the former Stoke City man.

A fully-fit Bony is a sight to behold but his physical condition remains a concern due to his injury record.
