Has Boris Johnson had a haircut?

If you've looked at Boris Johnson lately, you might have noticed something different about him.

No, your eyes aren't deceiving you.

Yes, Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson, the prime minister of the United Kingdom, has had his hair cut.

Perhaps you've noticed it in one of the now-infrequent press conferences. Maybe you spotted it from his visit to Leicestershire, seen in the video above. Or perhaps you noticed it in Prime Minister's Questions. Either way, Johnson's usual 'mad scientist' haircut is looking a little more tame.

Only a little more tame, mind you. It still has a habit of running away as soon as the wind picks up.

It's unknown where he got his hair cut this time around. In the past, he has been known to have visited barbers in his home constituency in west London, as well as others in Angel, north London. He has also had hairdressers visit him at home in Downing Street. The Sun has reported in the past that he gets up to 20 haircuts every year.

His haircut is, of course, part of the character of Boris Johnson. It has come under criticism from some members of the public, particularly during crises such as the coronavirus pandemic or of moments of national importance, for being unruly and inappropriate. Others say it humanises him and is entertaining. We'll leave you to make up your own minds about his usual mop and new, (slightly) tidier do!
