An owner has taken to social media in a desperate attempt to find a much-loved family pet.

In a post to Facebook , owner Adele Brown appealed for the people's help in tracing her missing dog Bruno.

The dog ran off when the family were evacuated from their home in the Newbigging area in Musselburgh, East Lothian, yesterday (5 June) after a fire broke out in the downstairs neighbour's house.

Adele said: "Has anyone seen Bruno ?

"He’s ran away when a fire started at my downstairs neighbours and the houses were all smoked out and we got evacuated.

"He’ll be terrified! I don’t know where he will be he might be hiding terrified somewhere can everyone keep a look out.

"What we have went through tonight was the most terrifying moment I didn't think I was getting out of my flat, smoke in stair my house smoked the crew done well!

She added: "The girls are devastated. We are devastated"

The post has since been shared over 100 times but "terrified" Bruno is yet to be traced.
