Haryana to launch statewide cleanliness campaign in villages from February 13

AMBALA/KURUKSHETRA: Haryana development and panchayat minister Devender Babli said that the government would not allow the officials to make the Swachhta Abhiyan (cleanliness campaign) a photo session and villages in the state will reach a new level of cleanliness.

Babli said a state-level public cleanliness campaign will be initiated in all the villages of Haryana from Bidai Khera village in Tohana from February 13, dedicated to the birth anniversary of Bhagat Ravidas.

"This campaign will continue until all the villages become clean. We will not allow officials to make this Swachhta Abhiyan a photo session but to work on the ground to implement it", said Devender Babli.

Babli held separate meetings with officials of district administrations in Ambala and Kurukshetra on Wednesday, to discuss the ongoing works under government schemes in villages of the concerned districts.
