Haryana: Panchkula police arrest 7 wanted criminals

PANCHKULA : Police claimed to have arrested seven wanted criminals, each having a reward of Rs 5,000 on them, accused in murder, attempt to murder and assault cases in the last few months.

Deputy commissioner of police (DCP) Surinder Pal Singh said the seventh accused Abhyas Kumar, was arrested on Monday. He has five FIRs against him.

Three other accused are Rohit accused of opening fire in Raipur Rani and arrested from Yamunanagar; Goldy accused of firing in Garhi Kotaha; and Shubham accused in armed robberies and arrested from Raily village in January and February. Shekhar and Bada Bahadur, both residents of Sector 21, were arrested for their alleged involvement in murders in sectors 7 and 21, police said.

Crime branch in-charge Inspector Nirmal Singh said Avinash on August 12, 2021, had allegedly attacked a few people with weapons in Rajiv Colony in two incidents and then was booked in an attempt to murder case in Budhanpur, Sector 16, on July 2, 2021.
