PANCHKULA: A man in his 50s was killed after a car ran over him on the Panchkula-Yamunanagar highway near Rihor village on Monday night. Suresh Pal of Rihor said he was at his fields when he saw the car hitting the man walking on the roadside. The man was taken to PGI, Chandigarh, where he succumbed to his injuries. Police registered a case under sections 279 (rash driving on public way) and 304-A (death caused due to negligence) of the IPC.
