CHANDIGARH: The Haryana Crime Branch and state's ATM Fraud Investigation Cell on Saturday claimed to have succeeded in arresting 3 accused in 2 different untraced cases of ATM fraud.
The Bhiwani team of ATM Fraud Cell has arrested the wanted criminal Rohit alias Amit alias Bilal resident of Rohtak from Hansi in the ongoing untraced case. Rs 70,000 and an Altroz Model Car was recovered from the accused.
Police spokesman said that accused Rohit is an expert in fraudulently changing ATM cards of unknown persons to withdraw money and prepare ATM clones. Apart from this, the accused had carried out incidents of ATM fraud in Haryana as well as in Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan. Giving further information, the police spokesperson said that the accused had been arrested in those crimes earlier also. The accused was an expert in making ATM clones, due to which the accused used to prepare a copy of the ATM after duping innocent people. On the pretext of helping, he even got the password of the ATM card.
3.84 lakh were withdrawn by the ATM frauds, the complainant came to know of the fraud after a month
Police spokesperson said that Bhiwani resident Gaurishankar submitted in his complaint that he is 71-year-old man and came to withdraw money at the ATM Machine at Meham Gate, Bhiwani in November 2021. An unknown person there carried out the incident of cheating by changing his ATM on the pretext of assistance.
The complainant is an elderly person and uses a normal phone. That is why the victim did not even know about changing the ATM. After checking the accounts after 1 month, the victim found 38,45.00 missing from his account. The complainant had given his complaint to the local police in which after investigation, the complaint was declared untraceable.
Giving further information, a police spokesperson said that the untraced complaint was handed over to the State Crime Branch, Haryana in July this year. On which the State Crime Branch took further action and arrested the accused from Hansi. Inspector Shekhar Singh, SI Veer Singh, ASI Pradeep Kumar, ASI Manendra, ASI Vinod Kumar were the part of the ATM Fraud Cell Bhiwani Cell.

Giving information, a police spokesperson said that the ATM Fraud Investigation Cell, Faridabad has succeeded in arresting two accused in the untraced case by the local police.
Accused Deepak Shah, resident of Faridabad and Anil Verma, resident of Delhi have been arrested in the ATM Fraud and the police recovered Rs 7,000 from. The complainant, Ballabhgarh resident Satish Gupta had submitted his complaint that some unknown person cheated him of 1.5 lakh through online transaction and other means by changing his ATM.
The case was handed over to the State Crime Branch for further investigation, in which 2 accused were arrested. ATM Fraud Cell Faridabad team included ASI Sheetal, ASI Vikram and ASI Manmohan.
